I installed a new copy of LMS2.2 with all the latest patches, the network was discovered incorrectly so I re-initialized the RME and the ANI databases, no errors when I cleared the databases, but now the Daemon manager does not start up, any ideas??

Need more info to troubleshoot, what OS you have it installed on? Are you able to stop the daemon? any error message?

Just to be more Clear.
I installed, Cisco Works, LMS & RWMS on Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 3. Installation was successful. I added many devices as well. Then i restarted windows 2000 machine, But when it booted, CiscoWorks common service daemon manager could not start. There was not error but only one window saying "could not start the ciscoworks daemon manager service on local computer. the service did not return an error. this could be an internal windows error or internal service error."
Is this because the reason i just restarted the server, and not closed Deamon properly by command.?
We have tried almost every thing, rebooting, manual service start etc.
If any body can help, that will be a real help.

this usually means there is a problem with casuser
check to make sure if casuser is still active (not disabled)
try adding casuser to the administrators group
try opening a dos shell, cd to CSCOpx\setup\support
issue the command: resetcasuser
