CWLMS 4.0.1 Daemon manager does not start on Windows server

Good day,

I installed CWLMS on a Windows 2008 R2 virtual server.

It was all working 100% but now after a reboot I suddenly can't start the deamon services.

The web portal opens and i can login successfully but as soon as i run the discovery it says i must restart the DRC server which i cannot do

because the daemon does not start.

I have installed the updated patch for Win 2008 and did a reboot but it still gives the same problem.

Attached are some log files.

The messages received for lms services on windows are:

Daemon manager service on local computer started and then stopped

Thanks

Hi ,

Try this:

NMSROOT\CSCOpx\setup\support>resetCasuser.exe

and now try to start the Daemon Manager.

If it still fail the send me the Error that you see in EventViewer.

Thanks

Hi Chause,

this description is really inconsistent. To understand better, please post pdshow output. Also, if you try to start the daemons from CLI (net start crmdmgtd) what is the output?

Hi Afroj,

It is up and running now!

A quick question, what is the function of the casuser?

The casuser login is equivalent to a Windows administrator and provides access to all Common Services and Security Manager tasks

Is the discription above correct?

Thanks for your help

Hi ,

Thanks for the update .

Casuser is an Anonymous user of cisco works and each and every  folder of the cisco works has to have the Casuser privileges assigned to  it.

Thanks
