When we upgrade our RME 3.5 to RME 4.0, our configuration archive which was done in RME 3.5 disappeared. Are they supposed to be migrated over? Or is it out of the scope of data migration?
Previously, the config archival setting was configured to keep the last 5 versions. We disabled the 'delete after n days' setting.
Also, we have difficulties with the shadow directory. Does any one experience similar problems?

Yes, the configuration archive is supposed to be migrated over.
It doesn't look like yours was completely successful.
Check the migration.log and restorebackup.log files for errors.
On Windows they would be in CSCOpx\log
On Solaris they would be in /var/adm/CSCOpx/log

Were you able to resolve this?

Not yet. Cisco TAC has suggested restoring the backup data from 2.2 again.
Do you have similar issue?

Not yet. We were advised by Cisco to not trust the automagic data migration at all, and instead backup all of our databases and try to import them after the upgrade. Good Luck, and check out OpsWare NAS, You'll be much happier.
