DCNM - Nexus 5000

Hi,

Does anyone know if we can transfer the DCNM license from nexus to nexus. As I understood DCNM license is considerd per nexus device.

By the way, I’ve read in the guidelines:

A license is specific to the switch for which it is issued and is not valid on any other switch. If you need to transfer a license from one switch to another, contact your customer service representative.

However, tests argue the opposite.

What are the procedures to reuse the license on other switch?

As long as the DCNM licenses is transferred to the same family type, you should be able to un-assign and assign to a different device. (i.e 5010 to another 5k device)
