Device discovery issue

LMS2.5 devices are discovered only on seed level and then even their inventory is unsucessful with message "device sensed but iinventory not collected"

we are running SNMP V3 only.

Any help be great.

I've seen "device sensed but inventory not collected" only on our 6509 w/sup720. Everything else (130 devices) seemed to inventory properly.

I'm using SNMP v1/2c though.

I've the same discovery problem with Cat6509 and SUP2. (not 720)

It seems to be a problem with the device package.

I hope, there will be an updated version of the device package from cisco soon.

Could be related to bug id CSCsa90532:

Inventory collection fails, if device contains unsupported cards

By mid-June 2005, there will be two add-ons to RME 4.0 that will be available for download from Cisco.com

Those should help with device support
