DFM tells me HighQueueDropRate, but where?

In an MPLS multicast environment we have some Cisco 7606 NPE routers. From one of them (POI) I se this HighQueueDropRate in DFM:

In configuration file I have no Loopback8 defined only Loopback0

The IP address 10.53.13.8 is : IP pim VRF10108 rp-address 10.53.13.8

The log shows no error.

Can anyone explain to me where I have a problem?

Its a cisco CISCO7606 (R7000) processor (revision 1.0) with 458720K/65536K bytes of memory.

When was the last time DFM rediscovered this machine?

Try to rediscover it Then check the Detailed Device Viewin dfm

Its probably an if index mismatch.

If DFM still discovers an Lo8 on the router then I guess the router hasn't had a lot of love for quite a while. A reboot should be scheduled.

Last time the device was discovered was 28-maj, so I rediscovered it. Made no different. In Detailed Device View, Interface it still reports different Loopback interfaces 0,1,2,4,6,8,10.

Only Loopback0 is in config file.

The Machine was rebooted 2 weeks ago.

The HighQueueDropRate results are polled by DFM from specific SNMP OID(s). The logging buffer on the router usually doesn't hold related entries to this type of stats.

What is the actual rtr interface with the 10.53.13.8 IP addr though? What output do you get with "sh int [actual-interface] | begin Input"? For example:

rtr# show int vlan210 | begin Input

10.53.13.8 is the rendevous point for one of our content providers multicasts. : IP pim VRF10108 rp-address 10.53.13.8

So there is no interface with this address.

Today we found that these drops come from one multicast group forced from the content provider toward our network.

We have sent a question to the provider about this.
