Do I need a wireless controller

I have a Cisco 3650 stack with IOX v3.6.3 operating with AIR2702E wireless access points.  When the APs are connected directly to my 3650 they configure and operate normally.  However, when connecting via another switch model (3750) connected to my 3650 via fiber the APs will not configure.  Do I need to install an additional/other wireless controller on my network to enable the remote access point to configure?

Hi,

The 3650 supports access points directly attached to the switch. If you are going to have access points attached throughout the network, you will need a wireless controller.
