Effect of RMON (remote monitor ) on switches ?

Hi ,

I am planning to implement RMON remote monitoring in my switch will it any huge effect on  CPU utlization .

Whether it is resource specific .

I am planning to monitor bandwidth utilization of all the ports in my lan using RMON .

Is there any alternative o  monitor bandwidth utilization ??

I am using LMS 4.2

Need some comments on it .

Hi all ,

Have any one used RMON ? will it be CPU intensive? I have some 2950 switches , whether RMON (remote monitor )  will have any effect on those low end switches .
