Error: Can not Configure Port Security Because Dynamic Port

Hello

I'm using to manage network CiscoWorks version 3.0.

I installed the cisco view (6.1.7) for managing by gui the switches campus.

On some of My IOS switches I encountered this kind of problem while,by cisco view, I try to change the configuration of port security (Error: Can not Configure Port Security Because Dynamic Port). I checked all the configurations on this switches and I'm sure that the ports are not in dynamic mode and there are not channel configured on that. So at the end I can't manage this error, please let me know if you have suggestions to give me.

I too had that same issue, when I was trying to config an interface to use port-security.

Problem:

#switchport port-security

Command rejected: GigabitEthernet1/0/8 is a dynamic port.

Solution:

#switchport mode access

and then you can add the port-security.
