I would like to changed my SNMP RO RW community strings on all network devices managed Via Ciscoworks, concord and HP openview.
Could anybody tell me the best way to do this without causing disruption to management connectivity?
Thanks

To change the community strings on the devices, you may use NetConfig (which is part of CiscoWorks' Resource Manager Essentials).

What i really meant was, should i configure the switches first with the new string then add this new string to the management systems. Once all is update with the new string, remove the old info.
What i don't want to do is lose any trap information
which might be important.

AFAIK, the "string" in "snmp-server host aa.bb.cc.dd string" could be anything as far as HPOV NNM is concerned. It doesn't care. This is for traps from router/switch to NMS.
SNMP RO RW community strings are for SNMP queries from NMS to router/switch. Different direction.

Never mind, thought you wanted changing the community strings on these apps.
