How do I uninstall the LMS 4.0?

We have installed LMS 4.0 with 1500 licenses. We have trouble getting it to work properly. We see the devices in DCR, and "Inventory Collection" is OK.

Example, When we select "Monitor> Threshold Settings> Fault> Threshold Settings", we get the message: "There are no devices in the system. Either no devices have Been added or imported, or all devices has Been deleted."

we know we have a lot of syslog messages, but we get the message from the system: "No data is available".

We hope that by re-installing LMS 4.0 problems will disappear.

How should we do it?

The first thing to check is to make sure you can ping the management IP of each device from the LMS server.  Unlink every other feature in LMS, the Fault Management feature must be able to ping the management IPs of each device.  If you have the Windows Firewall enabled on your server, disable it, then see if you can properly learn the devices in Fault Management.

The next thing to check is your version of SNMP.  If you are using SNMPv3, make sure each device has a unique SNMP engineID.  If not, fix the duplicate devices so that their engineIDs are unique.  You will need to reconfigure your users on these devices.  Once that's done, relearn these devices to see if they moved to a Known state.

You can uninstall LMS 4.0 from the Start Menu.  Go to All Applications > CiscoWorks and you will see an uninstall icon.  However, it looks like Fault Management has failed to manage your devices.  A reinstall may not fix this.  Go to Admin > Collection Settings > Fault > Fault Monitoring Device Administration and check to see why the devices are failing.  One unique thing to the fault management feature is that all devices must be pingable (ICMP reachable) from LMS before they can be managed by Fault Monitoring.

Hello Joseph, and thanks for your help. It would be a relief not to have to install everything again:)

It looks like the reason why it can not find information is SNMP TimeOut. What could be causing it. Where do we set these values ? We have created a "CredensialSet" as we call "SVV".

Looking forward to hearing from you

Hello Joseph, and thanks for your help! No DF works apparently as it should. The error was in the firewall. I made changes as shown in the picture below.
No remaining 2 errors, but I take it up in a separate thread.
But again, THANK you for your help:)
