Greeting dear sir/madam,
All devices of our company is from Cisco, and I have been asked to check the EoS and EoL of each, as well as the devices we are planning to buy, but I don't know how check them so. So, could you tell me the easiest way to check it, please?
Your soonest feedback is highly appreciated!
Kind regards

The easiest way is to just google "cisco <product> eol", ie:

cisco 890 eol

Or find the product in the Cisco product directory (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/index.html), and look under the 'Resources' section for any mention of 'End-of-Life and End-of-Sale Notices' .

For your device, there are two products, the CISCO890 and C890. Do the know the specific part number?

cheers,

Seb.

Hi there,

The definitive list is here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/eos-eol-listing.html

There is also an EoX API available which you can send your device inventories to:

https://apiconsole.cisco.com/

cheers,

Seb.

Hi too,

Thanks

Could you, please tell me the exact website like to check it?
The one you shared here is very long list which is difficult to find the thing I want as the almost beginner.

For example, I want to check about Cisco Router Model 890, so how to check it, please?
Appreciate your feedback in advance

Just put the PID into google with EOL beside it like --- ASR1001-X EOL

it always brings it up on first page in google with the specific sheet

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/asr-1000-series-aggregation-services-routers/eos-eol-notice-c51-734572.html

Thanks the feedback was helpful,

Also I got another similar question,

How to check the EoS, EoL, and End of Sale of a new Cisco Device?
It is because we want to buy new Cisco devices (Routers, Switches, and Firewalls), but I want to know when they'll become EoS, EoL, and End of Support.

Appreciate the feedback in advance

Hi there,

In don't believe there is a hard and fast rule to determine when an EoX statement will be issues for a device.

It helps to have a good knowledge of the Cisco product catalog, general once a new platform is released which supersedes another in location in the network/ functionality the EoX statement will follow on shortly after. This has to be tempered against the install base of the old hardware, case in point being the 6500!

cheers,

Seb.
