How to get Router or Switch license information using SNMP

Hi,

I am working in a large network where hundreds of Router & Switches are present. We need the details License information of those devices (like in which devices license are expiring or already expired) as an when required. We want to pool license related data as per requirement using SNMP. What are the possibilities and how to achive it?

Hello Shibasish,

Please try to use the following OIDs to poll the license data from a give network device:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.359

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en&translate=Translate&objectInput=1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.359

or

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.543

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en&translate=Translate&objectInput=1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.543

Let me know if it works,

Hi Ernesto,

Thx for your early response. Can u plz confirm that the OIDs are for device or device model specified ? If so then how to find the exact OID for any specified model?

Regards,

Shibasish

Hello Shibasish,

I don't think it is based on a specific model, instead, I highly recommend you to use the following command in order to verify if any of the OIDs that I provided before work:

show snmp mib

It displays all the supported OIDs on a cisco device.

Regards,

Hi Ernesto,
I found this information to helpful.

However could you let me know if this OID can help me generating License report from CSPC for all the Cisco devices.
