in the cisco871 just type:
conf t
snmp-server community
ctrl-z
For the sagem, I know you can turn it on but I forgot how I did that.
I got my info from this site: http://www.ripperjack.info/b-boxandco/spip.php?rubrique1
Cheers,

Hi Michel,
I think you are talking about, enable snmp manually,
What I am supposed to do is, enable snmp in some routers(that I know their WAN ip addresses & their passwords) using TELNET.
Thank you,

Yeah, enable SNMP manually, using TELNET.
And you can use the wan IP address to TELNET to the device unless an ACL on the device prevents you to do this.
I guess I don't uderstand what you want, but I may not be the only one.
Cheers,
Michel

Hi,
Command Prompt:
telnet @router
login: root
Password: ********
[root @ home]$
What I should do next ?

That prompt doesn't look like a cisco 871. The example I gave was for a cisco.
As said I forgot, for the sagem. I think I got my info from this site: http://www.ripperjack.info/b-boxandco/spip.php?rubrique1
But I'm now wondering if I didn't enable SNMP on my previous router, a netopia.
Cheers,
Michel
