Hi, all
I do the snmp trap monitoring for some device,Catalyst 3850 and another network device.
I use "IF-MIB" of the standard MIB.
There are various interface types, for example, GigabitEthernet and Loopback,Tunnel.
Besides, there are interface numbers such as tunnel0.1 and GigabitiEthernet1.3.
When a interface is link down, is it possible to output messages that show me which interface(such as tunnel0.1 and GigabitiEthernet1.3.) is down?
IF-MIB is said to include IfIndex, but it's not enough. Do I need "ifDescr" ? Do "ifDescr" plays its role?

- Up/down statuses should be queried by using the ifOperStatus variable from the IF-MIB.
