Hello All,
Device: ISR4331/K9
I'm not familiar with "SM" slots on the ISR devices and I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me if there's anything plugged into the "SM 1" slot based off the show inventory command shown below?
# show inv NAME: "Chassis", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4331 Chassis" PID: ISR4331/K9 , VID: V02, SN: ************ NAME: "Power Supply Module 0", DESCR: "250W AC Power Supply for Cisco ISR 4330" PID: PWR-4330-AC , VID: V01, SN: ************ NAME: "Fan Tray", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4330 Fan Assembly" PID: ACS-4330-FANASSY , VID: , SN: NAME: "module 0", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4331 Built-In NIM controller" PID: ISR4331/K9 , VID: , SN: NAME: "NIM subslot 0/1", DESCR: "NIM-4FXO Voice Analog Module" PID: NIM-4FXO , VID: V01, SN: ************ NAME: "NIM subslot 0/2", DESCR: "NIM-2FXS Voice Analog Module" PID: NIM-2FXS , VID: V01, SN: ************ NAME: "PVDM subslot 0/4", DESCR: "PVDM4-32 Voice DSP Module" PID: PVDM4-32 , VID: V02, SN: ************ NAME: "NIM subslot 0/5", DESCR: "ISR SSD Module" PID: ISR-SSD , VID: V01, SN: ************ NAME: "subslot 0/5 disk0", DESCR: "harddisk" PID: UBA2RZC200HCE1-FTC-SWD , VID: 5.2.4 , SN: ************ NAME: "NIM subslot 0/0", DESCR: "Front Panel 3 ports Gigabitethernet Module" PID: ISR4331-3x1GE , VID: V01, SN: ************ NAME: "subslot 0/0 transceiver 2", DESCR: "GE T" PID: SFP-GE-T , VID: , SN: ************ NAME: "module 1", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4331 Built-In SM controller" PID: ISR4331/K9 , VID: , SN: NAME: "module R0", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4331 Route Processor" PID: ISR4331/K9 , VID: V02, SN: ************ NAME: "module F0", DESCR: "Cisco ISR4331 Forwarding Processor" PID: ISR4331/K9 , VID: , SN:
I can see that NIM 1 has an FXO line card in it and NIM 2 has a FXS line card. But, I'm not sure if there's anything plugged into the "SM 1" of the ISR4331...?
Thanks in Advance,
Matt

Nothing is installed in the SM slot based on that output - just the built-in service module (SM) controller on the motherboard.
Here's a good visual reference:
