IPM 4.2.0 - Target and Source Addresses are 0.0.0.0

Hi,

I'm having a problem with IPM.

We are running LMS 3.2 with IPM  4.2.0.

I  used IPM to configure a device to perform a ping to an ad-hoc target. However, it shows that the target and the source addresses are 0.0.0.0.

The  target device is an ad-hoc with an ip-address but the IP SLA job ends  up as 0.0.0.0.

When I'm running 'show ip sla statistics' it shows  that the ping are timed out (as they are being sent to 0.0.0.0 instead  of the real IP address).

Can you please advise what is wrong or how can I fix this issue?

Here is more  information from the device:

If all the device will be doing is acting as an IP SLA source, you want the latest code.  Go with one of the IPSERVICES images.  The choice of crypto and web-based device manager are yours.  They will not affect IP SLA.

1. Post a screen shot from IPM ---> Collector Mgmt ---> Collectors here.

If both source and target are 0.0.0.0, there seems to be a mis-configuration and in which case needs to be reconfigured.

2. Stop the collector if its active, then delete it.

3. Create a new collector with a new target and source.

Hi,

I attached a screenshot of the collector. However, the problem is not on the IPM server. On the server everything looks right.

The problem is on the device. This is where the 0.0.0.0 addresses appear and the ping fails.

Amit

I believe this is due to CSCsy37122 which can manifest itself differently in different platforms.  The 0.0.0.0 symptom always appears, but the target/source location can be different.  It is fixed for 3K switches in 12.2(52)SE and 12.2(50)SE3.

Hi Joe,

Which of the following will be sufficient for IP SLA functionality?

This device is doing nothing apart from being an IPM probe.
