LMS 4.0 MAIL notification problem

Hello all,

When I created a Report and send a mail to administrator, if the email address is from the same domain it work correctly, but If I try to send to gmail or yahoo this doesn't work...

anyone have any idea about this problem???

I have already configured admin > System Preferances

and admin > SMTP Default server

and I checked internet connectivity for server. and proxy settings. everything is okay.

The server send local emails but not send send emails to othe mails. like GMAIL or YAHOO.

anyone can help.

These services restrict what mail they will relay.  To relay through GMail, you need to do SMTP auth, and LMS does not do this.  You will need to use a local SMTP relay wthat does not require SMTP authentication.

Hi Joseph,

In case of local authentication, the SMTP enabled will be an open relay and ready for exploits. Can't LMS use Authenticated relays?
