LMS 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade License - install 4.1 directly?

Hi,

We face following situation:

Currently LMS 3.2 is installed.

We order a 3.x to 4.0.1 upgrade license, in the meantime 4.1 is launched.

So, we ordered the free of charge 4.0 to 4.1 minor upgrade license.

Now we have a 3.x to 4.0 upgrade license and the 4.0 to 4.1 minor upgrade license and don't know how to proceed.

Is it now possible to install 4.1 from scratch directly and use the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade license to register it?

Of course we want to avoid to install 4.0 as an extra step...

For anybody who wants to know the answer:

It is possible to make a "from scratch" installation of 4.1 using an license file for 4.0 to 4.1 minor upgrades.

As long as you have an active contract for LMS there should be no licensing issue in above mentioned case.

Has anyone ever done this, clean install LMS 4.1 and use the license file from LMS 4.0?

You will need the 4.1 license file whether you upgrade 4.0 to 4.1 or install 4.1 on 'bare metal'. I believe hgans was intending to convey this in the post above

A valid license file is requested during installation. If you do not have it, you will be limited to a 100 device time-limited functionality.
