LMS 4.0 Ugrade

KEITH BEAUL

If Cisco Sales rep's would return my emails, I would not have to post here.

I want to migrate from LMS 3.2 to 4.0 and was wondering if there is migration pricing? This information is difficult to find and the several sales reps I've emailed must all be on hollidays.

Hopefully I'll get a hit here.

Thanks

If it is just about knowing Yes and No, then yes there is a price you have to pay to move to LMS 4.0.

Though I dont have further granular details on pricing, but with your not so good experience with sales I would recommed to contact the Product Marketting team directly at, lms-pm@cisco.com.

CiscoWorks LMS 4.0 uses a size-based licensing model where pricing is based upon the total number of managed devices. Three new part numbers are being introduced to provide better linearity in the size-based licensing model.

These include a new Small Business Edition (CWLMS-4.0-SBE) for 50 or fewer devices, as well as support for 750 or fewer and 2500 or fewer devices. In addition, optional remote monitoring and collector licenses will be available in three sizes for distributing polling and collection functionality to help improve overall application performance and scalability.

also be aware that there are 2 types of products like e.g.

L-CWLMS-4.0-300UP

and

CWLMS-4.0-300UPK9

both are for the upgrades form LMS 2.x, LMS 3.x to LMS 4.x 300 devices but the first (with the "L-") is just the license - thus you do not get the DVD just the license. Instead you have the software yet or you can download them from CCO. A preceding "L-" means license only.

With the latter youl will get the software on DVD.
