We are migrating from LMS 4.2.5 to PI 3.4 and we need to know how big of a drive we need in order to store the LMS 4.2.5 export which will be restored into PI 3.4…

we have around close to 9000 different types of devices.

any help would be appreciated.

98% of the time it suffices to just export the device list. That's a simple csv that you can then import into Prime Infrastructure. Even for 7200 devices it would only be a couple of MB.

thanks, yes I agree but customer want to go for  full export option, so you have any approx. how much disk size should be needed for full export, just a rough guess would be enough?

Sorry I have no idea. You should be able to make the export to localdisk and then see if it fits. If it doesn't I believe it will tell you how much space it needs. If it does then simply copy if off-box.

An LMS server isn't all that big by modern storage standards. An LMS VM only requires 256 GB total. You can buy a USB drive that size for like US$20.
