LMS4.1Jobs failed

Hi,

I have a Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 running on my network, and I am creating Jobs to configure access-list, snmp commands. I can make ping/telnet/ssh from Cisco Prime LMS CLI to the devices (routers or switches), but when a Job is scheduled it fails. What could be the reasons of failures?

Thanks in advance.

You do not provide much info. Some questions to clarify this, then maybe someone can help.

When you say  "from Cisco Prime LMS CLI", do you mean RME cli?

Or are you saying a immediate job works, a scheduled on fails?

Is it you or LMS that provides the device credentials?

What does the job report say beside failed?

What kind(s) of job fails? What did you (try to) configure on the device?

Also, if one device fails, the whole job fails. Did any ot the devices get configured?

if one of the command sent gives an unexpected response the job fails. The job report shows the commands and the response the device gave.

Cheers,

Michel

Hi Michel,

I make Ssh console to Cisco Prime to test telnet/ssh/ping to the devices managed from Cisco Prime. I try to send several commands to the devices (routers and switches):

logging x.y.x.w

access-list 1 permit x.y.x.w

snmp-server host x.y.x.w  SNMPComm

I make a job to send these commands via Cisco Prime but the job fail. Credential were imported from a file, I haven´t tryed writing again the credentials.

This is a Job result:

Regards.

If you have imported the devices from a file the credentials used by LMS are known. I guess this rules out that the credentials are bad

What I meant was the status of the job for each device.

It will provide info why the job for that device failed
