we have LMS 3.1, we have configure MODULE LEVEL ALERTS in DFM for 6500 switch Modules.

after configure the same, we got alreats for Module down, but for module up we are not getting any alerts.

Kindly confirm, how can we configure this to get module level alerts for both up and down.

To what notifications do you refer?  Are you saying you are not seeing events appear in the DFM Alerts and Activities Display, or are you not receiving DFM email/trap/syslog notifications?

What exactly did you configure in DFM?  Are you referring to DFM Notifications?

we have 6509 at customer end and we have inatalled new ws-x6748-ge-tx module in the chassis. erlier we have not configure the module level alrerts in LMS 3.1.

Now customer wants to configure this service iin LMS so he get the module level alerts also along with port & Interface level alerts.

so we have configure the command snmp-server enable traps module  at Switch end and after configure this command we got module level alerts when module goes down, but when module comes up we have not recd any alert notification for same.

kindly confirm can we configure the same.

hi,

Thanx for your prompt response.

We have done below configration at LMS end but we have not recd E-mail notification when module goes down and up.

LMS Configuration:

Trap Subscription Summary: Edit

Subscription Name:  Module

Notification Group:  MODULESALERT

Recipient(s):  Hostname  Port  Comments

GUR-SC02.quest.com  162  Snmp-on-18-01-2010

Hi,

We are getting alrerts and mail when any module goes down, but we have not recv any alerts & mails when the module comes up.

Post a screenshot of your notification group configuration.

Hi,

pls find attached snap shot and confirm ASAP.

You need to check the boxes for Cleared and Informational under the Events section.  You should then get notifications when the modules come back up.
