Our bandwidth to the internet is constantly at 80-95%. I need to track which applications are utilizing this bandwidth. Currently the edge router [2811] is connected to our 6509 core switch. I don't have any additional ports on the 2811 for an analyzer.
Does anyone have any suggestions on an application level app to sniff the traffic on my router that can tell me what type of traffic is traversing my internet interface?
Or is there another way of finding this info out that I may be missing

Hi
You can enabled netflow on the WAN interface of ur router using ip route-cache flow.
One you are done with that you can check the traffic traversals via the interface using show ip cache flow which will give enough details like the source/destination port as well as ip address being used ...
Also you can give a try on these softwares which are best for network monitoring..
