I've been tasked with creating some network diagrams and currently we don't have any specific software or format as standard. I was wondering what the best application would be to create diagrams with. I've been told that NetViz and Visio are two of the most popular ones.
Amongst other things they'd need to be able to download new shapes for switches/modules/routers, etc. when they are brought out by hardware companies.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks.

We generally use Visio for all network diagrams
you can get all the stencils/cisco icons for the same in the below link
