Hi,

I would suggest you to first download any available device packages before running any job, the reason is that such device might not be recognized properly by LMS without the latest device packages, usually the ? mark is a symptom of this.

Go to Admin > System > Software Center > Device Update

then select all the available packages and proceed to download them, it will stop/start services automatically, just make sure to add the correct CCO and password to let LMS connect to cisco.com.

Hi ,

what happened when you are try to add the same device again ?  did it give you duplicate device error ?

try to add a dummy device and see how it works .

You can try to restart the LMS service once and try to add the device

check the output of "pdshow -brief " and make sure all the services are running . especially check "DCRServer"

Thanks-

Afroz

Dear Friends

Recently I format the Cisco Works server due to crashed. The CW 3.2 which my customer have license installed in that formatted server.( Customer purchased PI so that they don't want to buy latest LMS). In this Network they have two changes the new Access Switches model C-3850 have been added with stack. Some location they have installed old 3560 switches. My issues are

01. First SNMP V 3 has configured all the devices. But device discovery failed nothing discovered.

02. After configured SNMP V2 all devices found with reachable status but no end hosts and IP phone = 0

03. In topology view except 6509  devices all are showing with ? mark. I couldn't do Cisco View and other functions.

Please advise how can I get all end hosts ? How can I see correct icon in topology view?
