I have recently installed several of the new WS-500 series switches into my networks and much to my surprise they are not supported by the CNA tool as the older 500 series were. I tried using the CCA tool, but my routers and legacy switches are not supported under it. One of the reasons I bought the Cisco switches in the first place is because I wanted to use one tool to manage all components in my network. I feel rather irked about what seems to be a purposeful hampering of functionality of the SMB line of equipment. Is there a management application that will allow me to manage all of my Cisco devices from the same console? If not why?

CNA 5.x supports the Catalyst Express 500 devices only as community members; these devices cannot be cluster members. They need to run at least IOS 12.2(25)FY. The supported models are:
WS-CE500-24TT
WS-CE500-24LC
WS-CE500-24PC
WS-CE500G-12TC
Can you tell us the exact model of the WS-500 series switches you have installed please?

I have the new ESW 520 and 540 POE switches. These are to my understanding the replacements for the CE500s

I apologize for any confusion. I just reread my initial post and noticed I used "the new WS-500" servies when I should have used "the new ESW 500 series".
