Can anyone suggest the best tool for analysing performance on Cisco and other vendors hardware.
I would like to know the usual trending information, such as utilisation, throughput, etc.etc.

Cisco apps only works on Cisco boxes. For general utilization etc, look at MRTG (www.mrtg.org)
