Prime 3.1.0

#TCN

Hello,

Im looking to troubleshoot an issue with Prime 3.1.0

(Monitor > Network Device > Switch)

I have some switches added to prime where you can see a summary view, this sumary view (on some switches) shows the front graphical view of the switch e.g. red port = port down / Green port = Port up

I have attached a screen snip as an example

Authentication wise things are all the same,

It seems that some switch types work but some do not work (graphical view)

can anyone shed some light on how the graphical view is displayed?

Many thanks

Jim

there could be multiple explanations.

first the device is "old" and not in the supported devices list

other : the device is new and not in the supported devices list.

the last situation may be resolved by downloading and installing a "device pack"installed device packsinstalled device packs

Indeed, what should be compared is the SystemObjectID of the switches. And this ID lets you find the switch on the supported devices list ( or not ).

Unfortunately cisco has felt this ID should not be visible in the device list.
I guess/hope it is visible in the export?

if not, you can do snmpget from the PI if you cannect via SSH to the CLI, and open a shell.
OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 will give you the SystemObjectID.
