hi,

i have just installed prime 3.1. and move to Cisco ONE licenses.

when i went to Cisco's licensing portal, it asked me to supply the UDI for my prime.

now usually on older version (including the 3.0) under administration>Settings>appliance i would have been able to find my UDI.

but now there's no appliance option under  administration>Settings.

anyone know where they moved it to? or where can i find my udi?

thank you,

snir

Hi,

The UDI information has been moved to Administration->Dashboards->system monitoring dashboard

Expand the system information

You will find the udi information there.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards

Raghu

From the cli, type

show udi

yes i am familiar with this cli command, but it brings out a different UDI then the GUI, and from if i recall correctly it wont work with that UDI (fro mthe show udi command)

I've always redeemed PAKs from the UDI given from the cli. If there is doubt, I'd recommend opening a TAC case. Perhaps they can confirm.

The UDI for a PI server does indeed appear to be no longer available in the GUI in 3.1.

I'm surprised they are still asking for UDI given that the new license types are not node-locked. I thought the Cisco ONE licenses were all under the new "smart licensing" scheme.

Hi Marvin

Do you use the SPID or the VPID?

CPI/admin# show udi

SPID: Cisco-VM-SPID
VPID: V01
Serial: XXXXXXXXXX

Personally I prefer to use the info, from the GUi.

Where has it moved in 3.1.4? There is no more a "System monitoring dashboard".

[edit]

Sorry, missed the Administration part, it's still there.

Little late, but I just learned that if you log into Prime as the root/super user it will be found under Administration / Dashboards / System Monitoring Dashboard then expand system information  under overview

FYI: With Prime 3.4 and Cisco One License required me to use (for device licenses):

PID: PRIME-NCS-VAPL

Serial: Hostname:SerialNumber
