Prime: How to disable events and alarms for a specific APs?

Hi, I'm having issues as an customer have a power switch for a PoE switch where 3 AP's are linked up to, and they're getting turned on/ off multiple times a day. The issues is we have mail notifications set up, and this generates a lot of noise, so I'd like to disable ALL events and alarms for those APs. I've been through Prime documentation but fail to understand if it's even possible?

Hello,

not sure what you have already looked at, but in Prime, you can configure alarm suppression. Have a look at the link below:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-8/user/guide/bk_CiscoPrimeInfrastructure_3_8_0_UserGuide/monitor_alarms_and_events.html#concept_1923D802B6CA4A80AC5ED3CAC0096341

Hi Georg,

I've made a user-defined AP group containing the 3 mentioned APs and then configured an alarm policy, see attached image:

Hopefully this will fix my issue. Thank you!

Hello,

that looks good. Hopefully it works as expected...

Thanks for your assistance, it worked!
