Hi All
Cisco has released Prime Infrastructure 3.2 some days ago. Release notes: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-2/release/notes/cpi_rn.html
I've read through them and the release does fix at least one bug I'm hitting.
Anybody of you has already upgraded?

I upgraded one production server last week. As before, you need to do it from a VM console for virtual servers (e.g. the VMware ESXi console window - NOT and ssh session).
It went fine. I noticed only two issues:
1. It didn't use my configured ssl certificate and reverted to a self-signed one. I have to re-run the commands to make it do so.
2. It messed up the topology maps by taking things out of previously assigned campus groups.

Thanks for mentioning that. I will check it once my upgrade is finished.
My upgrade is running so far since around 3 hours, I guess it takes 1-2 more hours.

Upgrade was successfull here.
What I discovered so far:
1. Scheduled Task -> Data Cleanup was Interrupted and could not be restarted. I've changed now the schedule and hope it runs again once the schedule is hit.
2. SSL Certificate didn't change, still the same.
3. I had changed the schedule for the task Controller Configuration Backup and Server Backup, those schedules are still the same after the upgrade, although the release notes state to change them. Just for security, I've rescheduled them.
4. My "broken scheduled tasks after a restart of the server", are still broken after the upgrade :( BugID: CSCvc24922
Nearly all scheduled tasks had a date set half a day in the past as the next execution after the upgrade.
5. Not using topoligy maps, can't comment on that. New Site Maps feature looks interesting though.

Marvin,
I too upgraded. The only issue I see is my topology maps have no connection lines, and all my switches are not part of my location groups anymore. My wifi topology and maps are fine.
How did you fix your campus groups issue? I'd like to fix mine.

I just had to go in and reassign the devices to their correct buildings and re-save the layout once I got it looking "pretty" again.

Thanks Marvin.
That fixed it.

You installed it on a server or was it an OVA template?
Did you do the install while being locally connected?
The start of the application after a reboot can take 10-30 minutes, did you wait long enough? (while that time, ncs status might show an error like you see)

The install is .ova and I use the VM console not remote.
That start always takes long. Been doing this awhile. I know to reboot, go get a drink and wait with feet propped up. :)
I actually rebooted and it started the DB but now fails to start Prime Infrastructure on startup Health Monitor.

In this case I'd probably re-run the full installation.

Marvin,
How did you fix the topology maps? My PI upgrade did the same as your in this regard.

hello,
can you please explain how did you upgrade prime using the virtual console?

Found a new, little, issue after upgrading to 3.2. It seems the E-Mail notifications didn't anymore correctly work. For example a WLC caused a critical error today, but I didn't get any notification.
I've now completely reconfigured the Notification Policies and I hope I get E-Mails again.

It's buggy. But then again so was 3.1.6 and so was 3.1.5 and so was 3.1.0. I mean what software form the the BIG C isn't buggy?
