Prime NCS 2.1 to 2.2 FTP

Good Morning,

I've built new vms for pi2.2 ncs and I am unable to ftp to them.  is there  a startup or service procedure for ftp on a new server ?  The documentation mentions it is enabled as a default.

There is an ftp client on the PI server. It does not act as an ftp server.

If you need to move files onto it, initiate the ftp from the PI server end.

Thanks Marvin - problem is WinSCP times out for ftp to the new server.  I'm looking to move the backup to the new server so I can restore.

I have had good success using the free Filezilla server on my client PC.

I always use plain ftp but you can specify SFTP if you want to secure the transfer. Make sure you specify binary mode (vs. the default ASCII)

I have moved a 500 GB backup file this way.
