Hi ,

I have a very serious problem with my LMS.
firstly , when I tried to automatically add devices to RME DCR or DFM.

I got the following message:

Error in getting instance of TreeGenerator class com.cisco.nm.trx.kdm.utils.DcrGroupSelectorTreeGenerator Root Cause:com.cisco.nm.xms.ctm.common.CTMException: URN_NOT_FOUND : urn "ogs_server_urn" : Not found !!

( view image :message-dfm.JPG).

secondly , when i tried to see the process in the portail (Common Services ) or with pdshow  , after the execution of these commands I wait several minutes (5-8 min) without any results.

( view image :process.JPG).

in this image , i selected  "ALL" to see all process but the result is zero. idem when i try to select "process never start" ...

thirdly, I still have that message when I try to access the RME :

( view image :error rme.JPG).

thanks to se log rme-dfm.zip for more detail

Hi,

This could be problem :-

INFO: Connect the database DSN=rmeng
ERROR: Failed to Start Database 'rmeng' because: Database engine 'rmengEng' coul
d not be started on database 'rmengdb' in Bulk mode.
ERROR: Failed to start database engine for database 'rmeng'
ERROR: Failed to change password for database 'rmeng'.
Please see log file C:\PROGRA~2\CSCOpx\log\dbpwdChange.log for details.

Kindly perform the following steps to fix the rme database issue.

1> Go to CSCOpx\databases\rmeng

2> delete rmeng.log

3> run the command from location CSCOpx\databases\rmeng :-

dbsrv10.exe -f rmeng.db

Note :- You need to stop the daemon manager before performing above steps.

Kindly let me know the outcome of it. Also kindly let me know if you RME was working before. Kindly upload the new pdshow output again afyer performing these steps.

Thanks,

Gaganjeet

Hi ,

Following services are down and therefore CiscoWorks functionality is effected.

To fix this, kindly apply the following workaround :-

Stop the daemon manager with the command :- net stop crmdmgtd.

Remove ctmregistry* from CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/lib  and take the backup of these files
to any temp location outside CSCOpx.

Stop the Windows Remote Management services from Services.msc.

Start the Dameon manager with the command :- net start crmdmgtd.

Now again watch the directory CSCOpx\objects\dmgtd\ready. Once this location is empty, try to see if the issue got fix.

Thanks,
Gaganjeet

Hi Gaganjeet,

thanks for your reply

when i do the workaround , the folder CSCOpx\objects\dmgt\ready is no empty.

the folder contains :

dmgt_start_lock

FHserver

NameserviceMonitor

PMServer

but  :

the problem still exists

command pdshow takes a lot of time whith the message attached pdshow-error.txt.

when i try to run the process manually ( with pdexec EssientalsDM) it take a lot of time with no response

Thanks ,

Hi,

Is CSCOpx\objects\dmgt\ready still have lock file.

Kindly try to run the pdshow again. I hope issue should have been fixed.
