Yes you can use the monitoring function along with the notification services to notify the help desk. Visit http://www.cisco.com/go/lms and download the 90 day evaluation.

Hi Nael,

I download it and i already running it but i need the same reachablity dashboard, can i have it and how

i tried the monitering but its not showing the same

thanks

You will need to use the monitor dashboard and create a portlet for the device availability. Take a look at the users guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/user/guide/monitoring_troubleshooting/mnt-monitor-dashboard.html#wpxref34428

Hi Nael,

i have used this monitor and it is not the same as the previous one in ciscoworks 2000 can i customize the portlets and layout in ciscoworks 4 ?

thanks

Any Update ????

1. Create pollers for device and interface availability using the monitoring function in LMS and define one for uptime and downtime.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/user/guide/monitoring_troubleshooting/mnt-perf.html#wp1542387

2. Create a custom dashboard:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/user/guide/getting_started/portalinterface.html#wp1090404

3. Add the portlets to the dashboard called device and interface availability by clicking on the add portlet icon from the upper right hand corner of the screen that has a circle with a plus in the middle of it. Select CiscoWorks --> Monitor --> select device availability, interface availability, and performance threshold information.

More info on performance monitor can be found here:
