Router addition in map section of Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Hello Folks,

I am new to Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Version of my setup is 3.9.

In our setup we have many router globally which are running in customer locations and added in CPI.

I want to see all of them in global map view. When I created new building & added floors then I realized it is only meant for wireless devices such as Access Points.

There is another option under map section which is Topology maps but that is not a map view.

Is there any way we can add routers in a map view and if any particular router goes down then we can see red mark status. (imagining)

[Attached one screenshot with dummy location without any routers.]

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi

CPI is quite limited when it comes to map and network device rather then Wireless. Propably is because Prime originaly started as a Wireless tool and then Cisco add network device. But, when it comes to map, it is not good.  The best option you may have is Network Topology.

There´s free tool that work better on this them prime.

Hello Flavio,

Thank you for your answer.

Is there any other way I can monitor the availability of all wired devices through world map?

if not from CPI then any other tool of cisco which can integrated to CPI.
