Hi,
I am trying to pull the Serial Number for a virtual device on a n7000 using SNMP. When I look at the entity MIB there are several serial numbers under 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11. How do I determine which is the one appropriate to my device ? How do I get the Index number ? I am presuming the others are the host(chassis) and other virtuals. If I can do this using CISCO MIBs as well, then that would be great.
Hope this makes sense !
Thanks
Alan

If you looking vDC - nexus is 1 Physical Device, so you should have same serial number for all the kit.
only it was virtually separated as physical kit.,
You need to poll correct vDC IP address to get more information - belong to that vDC.

Thanks for the response. I may have misunderstood but I thought there was a serial number for licensing purposes ? If there is, then from what you say it would be presented differently ?
