Hi there.
I have an old cisco 7911 IP phone and was wondering if i could setup this phone to replace my landline at home?
i have used VIOP with Linksys PAP2T earlier but this is different.
Please give you expert advice.

This phone is supposed to work with cisco Call Manager. when you connect it to a network, it expect to receive, on the DHCP, the Call Manager IP address where it gets his configuration and firmware updates.
but it speaks SIP protocol, so, theorically is possible to join it in some free PBX out there. But, I dont know if worth it to get a server, setup everything just to use an old phone like this.
