Team,

Is it difficult to write a script which performs a shutdown on a Cat3650 interface once attenuation has reached >17dB (29.5 is current in the output below)?

Thank you,

Switch#show interface transceiver

If device is externally calibrated, only calibrated values are printed.
++ : high alarm, +  : high warning, -  : low warning, -- : low alarm.
NA or N/A: not applicable, Tx: transmit, Rx: receive.
mA: milliamperes, dBm: decibels (milliwatts).

Do you mean < -17 db (i.e. abs(atten) > 17)?

You are correct.

This should work.

Joe,  incredible!  thank you very much for doing this so quickly.
