Hello all, I don't have an issue per say, but I would appreciate some guidance and direction. I want to upgrade our 5525 with the most up to date software but this is something i have never done. i used to work with encryption devices like KG 250 and KG 175, so the commands and things for a firewall are very new to me, could some one help point me in the right direction with the right steps to follow to implement this upgrade. And if possible could some one give me their tips and tricks and best common practices for situations like this? Any things you can give me is much appreciated!

Hello,
the process is fairly simple and straightforward. The link below has a step-by-step procedure:

Thank you very much, i have had certain issues in the past with different functions not being backwards compatible like say on a C9200 switch using a 10G sfp module, after upgrading one switch's version it no longer functions like it should with the 10G fiber link. Have you ever noticed such issues on an ASA with version compatibility? just out of curiosity.
