Still trying to monitor Transmit and Receive sensor

Hello all;

I use PRTG to basically  monitor cisco 2960 and 3560 switches.

I was given a custom sensor ( transeiverstatusssh.exe ) to monitor the power dBm for RX and TX on transceivers in a cisco 2960 or 3560.

But this sensor gives me only the status (OK) but not the actual value in dBm.

When i uses the discovery tool within PRTG based on template "switch cisco catalyst", PRTG can retrieve the needed value in dBm but only for the RX power, not the TX, and it detects only one interface Te1/0/1 but not the other one Te1/0/2.

The sensor belongs to the vendors_CISCO family.

I spent some time searching into mib to find oid and then custopm prtg sensor but i did not succeed.

Is there a mean to retreive RX and TX dBm value on both interfaces ?

what is the OID you using, try snmpwalk see you get any values.

Hello, i did not find any OID to perform this, i tried the OID you gave me but the switch does not answer, snmpwalk starting at 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12 does not answer.
