SWIM1164: Image Distribute to Device Failed due to some Unexpected error.

Hello,

I am trying image distribution to a c3560 device but I always get the error message SWIM1164. In the documentation it says to copy the logs and open a TAC Case but I would like to do some troubleshooting myself before opening a case.

Can someone recommend some actions to be taken prior to opening a case?

What I have is:

LMS     3.2
Campus Manager     5.2.1
CiscoView     6.1.9
CiscoWorks Assistant     1.2.0
CiscoWorks Common Services     3.3.0
Device Fault Manager     3.2.0
Integration Utility     1.9.0
Internetwork Performance Monitor     4.2.0
LMS Portal     1.2.0
Resource Manager Essentials     4.3.0

OS:
Windows Server 2003 SP2

Thank you in advance,

Vesko

Problem solved, thanks for the advice!

Hi,

i have exact the same problem even after applying the patch:

SWIM1164: Image Distribute to Device Failed due to some Unexpected error.

I´ve checked the RME Version and noticed it still pointing to 4.3.0

The patch was installed successfully.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi

Have you reloaded the server? Do you have missing links in Device Center as well? Would you post the contents of the popup you receive after clicking the link 'Resource Manager Essentials' under 'CS > Software Center > Software Update'? Lastly, please also attach the latest Ciscoworks_install_{Date}_{Time}.log

Thanks

Hi thank you for your answer,

no i do not have missing links. After applying the patch i´ve restarted the service. I even restarted the server.

This is what i get:

Where do i find these logs?

Have a good day,

Chris

They should reside in the root of C:\

Thanks
