We have Cisco Works RME 3.5 on Solaris and the problem is as follow:
I tried to configure automated action for some messages resceived by Syslog Analysis and cannot find these messages in list of available messages ( "POWERSUPPLYFANBAD" or "HOSTFLAPPING" for example ).The question is how i can add these messages to the list or update it ?

Hi,
if you go to "syslog analysis" > "define automated actions"
select advanced, click add, double click each area under headings:
facilities | Sub fac | Severity | Mnemonic | Pattern
and add the information you want, you can use * for default values.
Click OK, you will now see your new message in the Action messages field, you can then give this action a name and add a command line script in the command line box and you should have your automated action set up.
I have used this to set up email alerts for errdisabled ports.
