Dear All,
i was asked to configure a new set of switches using a template-based configuration. As it easier to managed the configuration and setting.
Been using CLI to configure switches and routers for 2 years.
copy and paste configuration to backup and restore.
So, what is a template-based configuration?
How is it different from the normal configuration?

- A base template can not be exactly defined , and depends on the network environment or cosmetic requirements such as port-descriptions (comments) and motd-configuration, for instance. Presuming a template will contain a core of configuration-settings which are applicable on all switches , this may also include for instance vty settings and secret password(s)
