hello

I have a new installed LMS 4.1 application on a virtual machine. First everything was ok but now I’m unable to access the application via web interface … but the ssh connection is working just fine.

It is my fist LMS installation and I need some help

Thanks!

Hello Michel

The apache server was shut down (in don’t know why?!):

       Process= Apache

       State = Administrator has shut down this server

       Pid   = 0

       RC     = 0

       Signo = 0

       Start = 06/20/12 19:24:48

       Stop   = 06/20/12 19:24:48

       Core   = Not applicable

       Info   = Application started by administrator request.

After restart off apache server, I’m back in business.

Thanks for your time and help!

Best regards,

Liviu

This is nice but it is for Windows only I have installed this on a VMware sever using Linux redhat 64 byte this Doc does not help

For Soft Appliance version you can start by checking the status from the basic cli. If you need to restart a specific process and don't want or need to restart the whole application ("application start LMS"), you need to drop into the OS shell and issue the pdexec command.

Here is an example (using pipe to include to abbreviate output and the pdexec command to show verbose process status at the OS cli):

SecLab-LMS/admin# show application status LMS | i Apache

  Apache                Running normally                          5674

SecLab-LMS/admin# shell

Enter shell password :

Starting shell...

[SecLab-LMS/root-ade ~]# pdshow Apache

        Process= Apache

        State  = Running normally

        Pid    = 5674

        RC     = 0

        Signo  = 0

        Start  = 04/23/13 08:03:20

        Stop   = Not applicable

        Core   = Not applicable

        Info   = Web Server initialized ok.

[SecLab-LMS/root-ade ~]#

I'll add the above as a comment to the earlier linked document to aid other seekers.
