Hi all,
We are replacing our Cisco 1801's with 887VA's. So far we have done 22, but all show in Cisco Works as "Unknown Device Types". How do I make them "known" & known as 887s?
Thanks

Hi Andy ,
Device seems to be supported in LMS.
Try to update the device pacakes and check the issue :
Go to Admin > System > Software Center > Device Update
select Inventory Config And Image Management and Common Services
click on check for updated and update all the Applicable updates.
Also make sure the device credentilas should be correct.
Thanks

Hi Afroj
Thank you for your fast reply
I have tried to update, but the only options I have are:
CiscoWorks Common Services
CiscoView
Device Fault Manager
Internetwork Performance Monitor
Integration Utility
Resource Manager Essentials
For each, I am prompted for a CCO username and password; which we are unsure of? Will I get these direct from Cisco?
The device credentials are correct - I am able to telnet onto the router using them & enter enable mode. The snmp ro/rw strings are correct as per the running & startup configs.
I am able to go to "Device and Credentials" > "Device Management", select a device & "Edit Identity". Under "Cisco Router 800 Series", there is an 887, but I believe this was superceeded by the 887va?
Thanks

Thanks
