I have eight Nexus 5Ks discovered by DCNM and two of the eight are generating the following messages:
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 552 - xmlsa
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 41 - xmlsa
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 552 - xmlsa
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 552 - xmlsa
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 553 - xmlsa
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 last message repeated 3 times
2012 Nov 28 11:46:01 DC2-5548-P1 %USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 552 - xmlsa
At some point in time, all of the 5Ks were generating these types of messages but now it's only down to two. All of the devices are running the same version of code. All of the devices are configured with the same logging configuration (according to the recommendations for DCNM). I'm wondering why only two of the eight 5Ks are exhibiting this odd behavior.
DCNM is version 6.1(1b) and the 5Ks are running 5.1(3)N1(1a)
Any ideas?
Regards,
Steven

Apparently this is a bug (http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCuc37433) in 5.1(3)N1(1a) that was corrected in 5.2(1)N1(1). I don't quite understand what the bug report is referring to when it states
'Running "show cdp neighbors" yourself shows "USER-2-SYSTEM_MSG: unknown enum 553 - vsh"'
When I run "show cdp neighbors" from the CLI it doesn't generate this error message. I don't know much about XMLSA. Is there a way to make an XMLSA query of CDP neighbors using some other tool (such as a browser)?
