Anyone ever seen a message like this?

We're running v8.4(2) on a 5520. We detected no other anomolies around that middle-of-the-night timeframe.

When you saw that error message, pls grab a copy of the "show cpu" output and see if there is any issue.

If not, then most probably it's a cosmetic bug, otherwise, i would open a TAC case and get an engineer to further troubleshoot.

We're running 9.1.(1)  and received a few alerts like the following:

: %ASA-2-321005: System CPU utilization reached 4294966%

show cpu

CPU utilization for 5 seconds = 1%; 1 minute: 0%; 5 minutes: 0%

I agree...probably a bug but alarming nonetheless.    I plan to open a TAC.  Thank you for posting -- your information helps!
