ASA 5510 cant turn mailguard off

Entering the command "no fixup protocol smtp 25" on our 5510 doesnt seem to have any affect. Telnetting from an external source to our public IP on port 25 still gives.........

I have rebooted the ASA to see if that had any effect which it hasnt.  Any ideas??

After the change, did you clear the local-host table?

What version are you running

Yes the reboot would have cleared the local-host table.

ASA is running 8.2(5)

SMTP fu...up is configured differnent Form 8.x onward

In the global policy you will find esmtp f...up remove Theiß
