Hi
We have PIX515 with failover, ver 6.2. Recently,
PIX1 with PIX2 always auto switch(about 1 to 2 hours), and make the repeat login for uauth user. from mrtg moniting, maybe relates traffic, because show traffic in the pix is about 1.5M,and our out to internet line is T1. How to make failover timer longer?
Thanks
ben

Hi Ben,
By Default the failover poll interval is 15 seconds (set with the "failover poll xx" command), This is the maximum available poll interval as per: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2120/products_command_reference_chapter09186a00801727a8.html#1029143
So if you are already at this value then we cannot increase the Failover time.

Thanks,We already have 15 setup, but how to keep PIX stable for failover? About one to two hour, PIX1 with PIX2 auto switch,
internet users has to relogin for uauth check, failover cannot trasfer uauth info to other box. We have 8 hours setup for uauth. Check PIX, power and network connection are stable, nobody reboot active pix firewall or run failover active, do you think what's reason to make PIX failover starting?
Thanks

Have you find a solution for your problem?
I have the same problem: the PIX auto switch once every week... and I don't understand the cause!
